What does Turku, the agility capital of Finland, have to offer for an agility dog besides amazing training facilities, best coaches and happy OneMind Dogs camper friends?
Your Turku guide dog Smapo will take you now for city tour in the dog's perspective...
Here is Smapo:
In the Turku centre a dog might come across with the word “lettuja” which means “pancakes”. The local pancake selection is: semmonen (that kind), tämmönen (this kind), tommonen (that kind), sellaane (that kind), tollaane (that kind), simmottis (that kind) or tämmöttis (this kind). We’re lucky that the OMD team teaches agility handlers to use body language, as there’s no way a sane dog would understand this Turku language.
Not all toilets on the streets of Turku are public... :(
At the Turku market square - near to most campers’ hotel - a dog might make some new friends. Woof!
Most important words of Finnish a dog can learn. Makkara = sausage. Kassi = bag. The Finnish delicacy sausage bag is also available at the Turku market square.
If you love balls and squeaky things more than sausages, you are crazy, but those can be bought from ATT Areena during the camp.
This is where we’ll be training at. ATT Areena has space for agility courses both outdoors and indoors.
